Seowon Newspaper

The Seowon Newspaper was first published as "Cheongju Women's College Newspaper" in 1968. It is published seven times a year. It plays pivotal roles for public opinion under the banner of "Freedom, Justice and Truth." It promotes a good college culture and enhances the recognition of social issues as well as brings campus news. Furthermore, it is spurring the implementation of upright philosophy of journalism, which college newspapers must follow in the 21st century. It is recently preparing the campus notice board and news tickers using PDPs.

Seowon English Newspaper (The Seowon Times)

The Seowon Times is published 15 times a year. It has been contributing to helping students progressively express their thoughts, read English articles and criticize current issues beyond positive English learning dependant on foreign magazines and newspapers. Furthermore, the annual English Quiz Competition by the Seowon English Newspaper helps enhance the interest of students in English.

Seowon Education Broadcasting System (SEBS)

The broadcasting center produces and broadcasts 15 programs including education, information, reporting and entertainment for the appropriate harmony between education and reporting without focusing on just one of either academic aspects or journalistic aspects, but rather the two aspects of college broadcasting. The broadcasting center provides regular programs three times a day with the call letters "SEBS." Furthermore, the center tries to produce and broadcast a variety of campaign images or multimedia news using PDPs on the campus. In addition, the center holds a variety of events including a broadcasting festival to introduce campus life to freshmen during the orientation period, a Guryong Song Contest and the Broadcasting Culture Festival.

Lifelong Education Center

The Lifelong Education Center was the first center in Chungbuk opened in 1992 to realize the demand of the times, and to aid in the realization of a lifelong education and information society. Since its establishment, the center has been taking the initiative to realize social equity of education by education services for residents. The center opened programs and various facilities of the college to residents to help them enjoy the experience of college education, learn new knowledge and skills in professional areas, extend regular schooling to fit their life cycle, adapt themselves to the rapidly changing social environment, habitualize learning depending on their life cycle and substantiate and enrich their lives more than ever through a variety of education programs.

Foreign Language Center

The Foreign Language Center was opened in 1991 to improve the English proficiency of students and residents as the global language. Since its establishment, it has been providing extensive opportunities to learn English while in school on the basis of strictly selected native speakers and thoroughly managed and planned programs. It has been playing pivotal roles to help students enter the workforce after graduation. Furthermore, it became the leading foreign language center in the central region of Korea by providing residents with the opportunity to learn English.

Korea Education Data Museum

The Korea Education Data Museum contributes to the development of actual education and improvement of service functions of colleges by researching, collecting and displaying data related to education in Korea and providing a variety of education-related data to graduates, workers in education fields, elementary and middle school students and researchers as well as students, faculty members and university employees. In particular, it provides a variety of opportunities to experience the education culture by special exhibitions, lectures, culture lectures, and domestic and foreign culture tours.

Fitness Center

Students and staff interested in maintaining their physical health and well-being can take advantage of Seowon University's Fitness Center replete with modern equipment and facilities. For those who would like a structured fitness regimen, Seowon University in conjunction with Hyosung hospital has also developed a comprehensive Health and Exercise Program.

Outdoor Amphitheater

The Outdoor Amphitheater, with a dome-type oval stage for a variety of cultural events, was scientifically designed in accordance with the recommendations from experts related to stage and performance. The university is proud of the stage where approximately 100 persons can stand and includes approximately 6,000 seats.

Auditorium (Art Center)

The auditorium in the Art Center has auxiliary facilities including a dressing room and waiting room and 306 seats. It is a multi-purpose performance hall which can accommodate a variety of cultural events including orchestra, classics, popular music, drama, film and musicals with high-tech stage lighting and acoustics.

Student Union Building (I and II)

There are two student union buildings. Both buildings have welfare and recreational facilities to facilitate the campus life of students including a bookstore, print shop, studio, tour agency, stationary store, general store, optician's office, student lounge, kiosk, health services center, women's lounge, independent student organizations office, students' cafeteria, beauty shop, club rooms, broadcasting service center, and newspaper office for independent student activities, recreation and welfare.
