Introduction
In this age of globalization graduates of the German Language and Literature Department benefit from an eclectic understanding of the history, culture, geography, economy, politics, and society of Germany as well as those of other European countries. Germany is a country rich in music, poetry, philosophy and natural sciences, and it is also the hub of Europe in politics and economy. So in this dynamic age of globalization, the Department of German Language and Literature trains students to be experts in both German and European history, culture, geography and society. Additionally, students who wish to study the language abroad can expect the Department to assist them in a variety of ways.
